English Webley Pryse Type Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Impressive, large, hinged-frame English military style revolver with simultaneous ejection. The top of the barrel displays retailer's markings, "I. HOLLIS & SONS, LONDON". Many English officers privately purchased Webley Pryse type revolvers, that were considered revolvers of choice at the time. Original one-piece wooden grip with diamond checkering. English commercial proofs are present on major parts of the revolver. Single and double action. Six-chamber cylinder. Barrel length: 5.5 inches. Fixed front and rear sights. Complete with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Very good+. 50% of original blue finish is still present on the metal. Some blue finish is starting to turn to brownish color. Most of the finish wear is on the hilt and lower part of the frame (from handling). The balance is in white, mixed with some patina. Occasional spots of light surface rust and metal roughness. Some screw heads show screwdriver's markings. Bore is in overall excellent condition, with bright and strong rifling. The cylinder's chambers are in fine condition. Strong action. Very Scarce Factory Nickel Plated British Commercial Webley Mk.IV Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Very scarce factory nickel plated British commercial Webley Mk.IV revolver in original caliber. Webley Mk.IV was a standard British service revolver during the Boer War and during both world wars. It was adopted by British military in 1899, and is often called the "Boer War Model". This is a commercial version of the revolver with original factory nickel plating (!). This model of Webley revolver is considered scarce in any condition! The revolver was not converted to .45 ACP caliber and it is still in its original, .455 Webley caliber. The cylinder bridge displays retailer's markings, "G. HILTON, FORT ST, TAUNTON". Single and double action. All matching serial numbers (matching numbers are stamped on the frame, cylinder and on the barrel; there are no serial numbers stamped on all the remaining parts of the revolver, which is correct for this model). The numbers are factory original, and they were not restamped. Black hardened rubber grips with diamond checkering. British commercial proofs are present on major parts of the revolver. British Royal Navy Issue Webley Mk.VI Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Standard British service revolver in the World War Two. Webley Mk. VI revolver was introduced in 1915, and was declared obsolete in 1947. The majority of such revolvers were manufactured by Webley & Scott at Birmingham during World War I. In 1921, Enfield Small Arms Factory took over the production of these revolvers, but it remained known as the "Webley revolver" for the remainder of its official career. This particular revolver was manufactured by Webley, as indicated by markings on the frame. The revolver was converted from its original .455 Webley caliber to .45 ACP. Matching serial numbers on the frame/hilt and cylinder. Mismatched serial number on the cylinder. The revolver has two sets of serial numbers: the factory numbers and the Royal Navy numbers. The latter were stamped when the revolver was refurbished for the Royal Navy. The factory numbers have been crossed with a single line. British military proofs are present on all parts of the revolver. No commercial proof marks are stamped on the revolver. Barrel length: 6 inches. Six chamber cylinder. No import markings. Complete with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Fine, as refurbished for the Royal Navy. 92% of the blue finish is still on metal. The balance is in white mixed with some light patina. Many revolvers of this type were privately purchased by officers and volunteers and used during the Boer War and the World War One. Webley M.1906 (MP) Semi Auto Pistol

DESCRIPTION: Webley M.1906 (MP) semi-automatic pistol. The design was based on Model 1905. The major visual difference between the two models was a flat machining of the right side of the slide in M.1905 pistol . M.1906 became eventually so popular that it was manufactured for almost 35 years. The production of modified M.1906 continued until 1939. The pistol was adopted by the London Metropolitan Police in 1911. Many British military officers carried M.1906 pistols as a second weapon during both World Wars. The left side of the slide of the pistol is marked "Webley & Scott Ltd./London & Birmingham 7.65m/m & .32 Automatic Pistol". Black hardened rubber grips with diamond checkering. Correct nickel plated finish on the trigger, hammer and extractor. Safety catch on the frame above the left grip. Barrel length: 3.5 inch. External hammer. Eight rounds magazine. CONDITION: Very good. 76% of original blue finish mixed with brown patina and occasional peppering. Some metal roughness and/or light surface rust on the upper part of the slide. The blue is worn mostly on the grip, on the edges of the slide, and on the barrel, near the muzzle. Excellent bore, with strong and shiny rifling. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the pistol are in fine condition, with no visible wear. The black plastic grips are most likely a modern replacement in correct style. They fit the pistol very well. Strong action. Safety works fine. No import marks. Webley No. 5 Revolver with "Church Steeple" Cylinder Flutes and with Interesting Markings

DESCRIPTION: Scarce English Webley No. 5 revolver built on the RIC size frame. Manufactured for a large distributor, E.M. Reilly in London, as indicated by markings stamped on the cylinder bridge (please, see pictures). Large Webley distributors had an option to have their name engraved on the revolvers. The Webley's markings are stamped on the left side of the frame, just in front of the cylinder, "Winged Bullet over W&S". The caliber and the Webley's model designation are stamped on the upper part of the barrel, "360 No. 5". The revolver displays some small markings, that seems to be stamped by a military armory. The left side of the frame displays, "S . SS.", while the right side of the frame displays two crossed flags. Some revolvers of this pattern were privately purchased by British and Australian officers, and consequently have seen service during the Boer War and the War World One. Matching serial numbers (the numbers are stamped on the frame and cylinder only, which is correct for this type of revolver). The revolver has scarce "church steeple" cylinder flutes! Single and double action. One piece hardwood grip with diamond checkering. Barrel length: 2.75 inch. CONDITION: Fine. The revolver has about 65% of original blue finish. The balance is in white mixed with light patina. All the markings and numbers on metal are clearly visible. Excellent bore with strong and shiny rifling. Very Scarce Webley Mk.IV .38 Singapore Police Force Contract Revolver with Short Barrel

DESCRIPTION: Very scarce Singapore Police Force contract Webley Mk.IV .38 revolver with three inch long barrel. Very few Mk.IV .38 revolvers were manufactured for the Singapore police with such a short barrel! Most of such revolvers came with five inch long barrels. The SPF contract Mk. IV .38 revolvers were manufactured in two barrel lengths, and with, or without the integral safety on the frame (the only contract Webley Mk.IV.38 revolver manufactured with this type of safety). This particular Webley Mk.IV revolver was manufactured without the integral safety on the frame. The revolver is marked on the back strap, "SPF 929" (the same property number is painted on the left grip). The cylinder bridge displays following markings, "Webley & Scott Ltd. Birmingham". The right side of the cylinder bridge shows the following markings, "Made in England". The Webley's trade mark, "Winged Bullet over Webley" is stamped on the right side of the barrel, just in front of the cylinder. Original black plastic grips with "Webley" logo on both sides. The revolver has original finish and was not refinished by British arsenals. Single and double action. Six chamber cylinder. British commercial proof marks are present on the left side of the barrel (correct for the foreign police contract revolver). Complete with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Excellent. 94% of original, crisp blue finish is still on metal. The revolver shows only a slight wear to the edges of frame, barrel and cylinder. Middle Eastern Issue Enfield No.2/Mk.I* Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Middle Eastern issue Enfield No.2/Mk.I* .38 revolver. The revolvers displays Arabic markings on the right side of the barrel and frame (please, see pictures). The revolver is identical to a standard British military Enfield No.2/Mk.I* revolver, except for the markings. Enfield No.2/Mk.I* revolver was approved in June 1938. It was basically a modification of Enfield No.2/Mk.I service revolver. The modification consisted of the removal of the single action cocking comb and bent from the hammer. As with any double action only revolver, the trigger pull is rather heavy, which in turn affects the accuracy. Right side of the frame is stamped with the model designation and the date of production, "Enfield No.2 Mk.I*, British Crown, 1939". British military proofs are stamped on all the major parts of the revolver. Complete with lanyard ring. Barrel length: 5 inches. CONDITION: Fine with 84% of finish still remaining on the metal. There is some metal roughness on the barrel under the finish, which usually indicate that the revolver was arsenally refurbished. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the revolver are in fine condition, with no visible wear. Excellent bore with strong and shiny rifling. The cylinder chambers are also in excellent condition. Original hardwood grips are in overall very good condition, with some handling marks and slightly worn diamond checkering. No cracks in the wood. Strong action. Imperial German Webley RIC Type Revolver

DESCRIPTION: This is a medium frame German made Webley RIC type revolver. German commercial proofs are present on the frame, barrel and cylinder, "Crown over U". The revolver was manufactured in 9 x16 mm caliber, that was popular at the time on the German commercial market, as well as among the German policemen. The revolvers of this type were distributed in Germany by commercial retailers. Many of such revolvers were privately purchased by German officers in the 1880/1890-s, and consequently have seen service during War World One. 3.5 inch long octagonal barrel. Six shot cylinder. Lever safety device is fixed on the left side of the frame. Complete with the lanyard ring. CONDITION: This revolver is in fine+ to low excellent condition with about 94% of blue finish left on the metal. The balance is in white mixed with some light gray patina. Some blue is turning to brownish color (mostly on the hilt and trigger guard). Couple of spots of light peppering (mainly on the cylinder bridge). Very crisp action. Some minor handling marks are present on the hardwood grip. Bore is in very good condition with strong rifling. Cylinder chambers are in excellent condition. The upper grip screw is missing. All the markings and numbers on metal are clearly visible. No import marks. Interesting German World War One era revolver. Antique. (Ref.: "Der Reichsrevolver und seine Varianten" by Heinrich E. Khyber Pass Copy of Webley Mk.III Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Scarce Khyber Pass copy of Webley Mk.III revolver in .38 S&W caliber. Webley revolvers were copied in both, Pakistan and Afghanistan in 1940-1960. Plenty of fake British proofs on all metal parts. The left side of the frame displays something that looks like, "Webley Patent". The left side of the barrel displays fake Webley trade mark and wording, "Mark III, Birmingham & London". The left side of the cylinder bridge also displays, "Mark III". The cylinder chambers displays Pakistani proof marks, "Crown over RP". Horn grips with diamond checkering. Barrel length: 4 inches. No import markings. Complete with a lanyard ring. CONDITION: Very good. The metal finish is in white with traces of blue preserved in protected areas. Some scattered light patina. The horn grips displays some handling marks and light scratches. Nice bore with strong and shiny rifling. The chambers are in fine condition. The cylinder has an excessive play when the hammer is cocked. The revolver seems to be manufactured this way. This revolver should not be fired as it was manufactured using very primitive technology and with with no concern for safety of the shooter. Sold as a collector item only. Khyber Pass Copy of Webley Mk.IV Pocket Revolver

DESCRIPTION: Scarce Khyber Pass copy of commercial contract Webley Mk.IV Pocket Model revolver in .38 caliber. Webley revolvers were copied in both, Pakistan and Afghanistan in 1940-1960. Plenty of fake British proofs on all metal parts. The left side of the frame displays a date, "1951". Short grip and short barrel. Horn grips with diamond checkering. Barrel length: 2.75 inches. No import markings. Complete with a lanyard ring. CONDITION: Very good+ to low fine. 95% of crisp blue on metal. The horn grips displays some scratches and bug holes. Fair bore with some dark spots, some rust and signs of firing the revolver with dirty bore. The chambers are in fine condition. The cylinder does not lock in position when the hammer is cocked, the revolver seems to be manufactured this way. This revolver should not be fired as it was manufactured using very primitive technology and with with no concern for safety of the shooter. Sold as a collector item only. Webley Mk.I "Navy Model" Semi-Auto Pistol

DESCRIPTION: Webley Mk.I "Navy Model" semi-auto pistol. The pistol was tested in 1912, and adopted by the Royal Navy in 1913 and retained until 1945. External hammer. Seven round original Webley magazine. Grip safety. Left side of the slide is marked "Webley & Scott Ltd. Pistol Self-Loading 455 Mark I N 1913". British proof marks are stamped on all major parts of the pistol. Barrel length: 5 inch. The pistol is in FTR condition (it was refurbished by a British arsenal). The black hardened rubber grips were replaced with smooth hardwood grips during the FTR (stamped with the Broad Arrows on their backs). The metal was completely reblued by British arsenal. The new finish is dull blue, instead of original glossy blue. Some small parts that originally had polished steel finish now have dull blue finish (hammer, lever, etc). Complete with lanyard ring. CONDITION: Fine+ to low excellent as refurbished by British arsenal (FTR). 93% of dull blue still on the metal. The balance is turning to brownish patina. The pistol shows honest holster wear on the sharp edges of metal parts. The bore is in overall very good condition with some light frosting and some wear to the rifling. Strong action. The hardwood grips are in very good condition with moderate handling marks. The right side grip displays a hairline crack in its upper part (difficult to notice, please, see pictures). With short grip and short barrel, the revolver was designed to be a pocket handgun. 4 inch flat side round barrel. Early production revolver with flat hammer and floating firing pin. British commercial proofs are present on major parts of the revolver. Missing the lanyard ring. Import markings are stamped on the bottom of the grip strap. CONDITION: Fine, with 65% of high gloss blue on metal. Original black plastic grips without any cracks and/or chips. The bore is in overall fine condition with strong and shiny rifling. There are two minor marks/scratches in the middle of the length of the bore, nothing to be worry about. The cylinder chambers are in excellent condition. Very strong action. All the markings and numbers are clearly visible on the metal. All the internal parts of the revolver are in excellent condition, with no visible wear. Difficult to find gun for advanced Webley collector. Serial# 68XX. (Ref.: "The Revolver 1889-1914" by A.W.F. Taylerson, p.169).

British military markings and a date "1951" are visible on the inside part of the flap. Two "Broad Arrows" are also stamped on the flap.
